Interim head coach Luke Walton has played down the importance of not being credited with the Warriors' wins.
The beneficiary of those W's, on the other hand, was not shy in voicing his frustration with the rule.
"I think it's ridiculous," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told Ethan Sherwood Strauss of ESPN.com. "I'm sitting in the locker room and watching the games on TV, and I'm not even traveling to most of the road games. Luke's doing all the work with the rest of the staff. Luke is 15-0 right now. I'm not. So it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard, to be honest with you. I don't even understand it."

Kerr's outcry may have gotten the NBA's attention, as the league is currently reconsidering the long-standing policy, according to Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group.
Realistically, Walton's bid for Western Conference Coach of the Month honors, as well as his right to coach the Western Conference All-Stars -- if the Warriors hold the conference's best record at the break -- are what prompted the NBA to take action.
Walton has done all that could have been asked of him while Kerr recovers from back surgery complications, guiding the Warriors to a league-record 16-0 start.
