The Giants will be without starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez for a little while longer.
On Sunday, the Giants transferred the veteran starter to the 60-day injured list. In corresponding moves, they activated reliever John Brebbia and optioned lefty Conner Menez to Triple-A Sacramento.
Sanchez, 28, is 1-1 with a 3.18 ERA in six starts for the Giants. He hasn't pitched since May 4 and was placed on the Injured List on May 8. He now is eligible to be activated during the first week of July.

Sanchez originally was shelved with right biceps tightness. With the Sacramento River Cats, he made three rehab assignments and struggled on his road back to San Francisco. Sanchez then exited his most recent start early with a blister.
He has a long history of blister issues in the past.
Brebbia, 31, is back in the majors after recovering from Tommy John surgery. The right-handed reliever last pitched in the big leagues for the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2019 season when he went 3-4 with a 3.59 ERA in 66 appearances.
Over three seasons in the bigs, Brebbia is 6-7 with a 3.14 ERA and 1.103 WHIP.
