Andrew McCutchen turned in a hitless night in New York Tuesday, going 0-for-4 in the Pirates' 6-0 loss to the Mets and lowering his league-leading batting average to .334.
McCutchen still clings to a .001-point lead over Giants catcher Buster Posey prior to the Giants' Tuesday night game in which Posey is batting fourth.
Posey owns a .333 average going into Tuesday night's contest. He will face left-handed pitcher Wade Miley.
