SAN FRANCISCO -- September 3, 2021 -- NBC Sports Bay Area today announced its extensive multiplatform coverage of the San Francisco 49ers’ 2021 NFL regular season, highlighted by the return of live gameday coverage, a new schedule of weekday programs, and comprehensive multimedia content across its digital platforms, led by NBCSportsBayArea.com and the MyTeams app.
Live Gameday Coverage
49ers Pregame Live and 49ers Postgame Live, presented by Toyota, return this season around every regular-season game featuring the very latest gameday news, and updates, along with player matchups, breakdowns and analysis. Both shows will also be available to authenticated subscribers on NBCSportsBayArea.com and the MyTeams app. The shows will be produced live from Levi’s Stadium for home games and the NBC Sports Bay Area studios for away games.

The one-hour pregame and postgame shows will be hosted by 49ers Talk Co-Host Laura Britt with expert analysis from former 49ers safety Donte Whitner, former 49ers offensive tackle Joe Staley and former 49ers linebacker Takeo Spikes. 49ers “Insider” Matt Maiocco and 49ers Reporter Jennifer Lee Chan will provide additional pregame and postgame coverage with up-to-the-minute game day information.
The programs will make their season debut Sept. 12, when the 49ers open the season at Detroit (10 a.m. PT.). The 49ers Pregame Live show will be presented for an hour, with a Week 1 start time of 9 a.m., and 49ers Postgame Live will begin immediately following the game for extended coverage, which will include 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan’s postgame press conference.
NBC Sports Bay Area will provide additional 49ers gameday coverage with 49ers First Look and 49ers Halftime Live. Two hours prior to every game this season, Matt Maiocco and Jennifer Lee Chan will host 49ers First Look on NBC Sports Bay Area’s official YouTube channel, youtube.com/NBCSportsBayAreaCalifornia and on the MyTeams app, offering a gameday preview featuring their expert commentary and predictions.
During halftime of every 49ers game this season, NBC Sports Bay Area will deliver 49ers Halftime Live on the network’s dedicated 49ers Twitter handle @NBCS49ers. 49ers Halftime Live is hosted by Laura Britt and will feature first-half analysis via Whitner, Staley and Spikes who will focus on the key plays and game moments that had the greatest impact during the first 30 minutes of the game. The programs are available to stream on the MyTeams app.

Mondays: 49ers Press Conference Live presented by La-Z-Boy (feat. Head Coach Kyle Shanahan) – NBCSportsBayArea.com and the MyTeams app will present 49ers Press Conference Live, Head Coach Kyle Shanahan’s weekly press conference the day following games (streaming live Mondays at 3:30 p.m. with a linear debut on NBC Sports Bay Area at 9:00 p.m.). 49ers Press Conference Live is hosted by Laura Britt.
Tuesdays: 49ers Talk presented by Big O Tires – Every Tuesday and Thursday night at 9:00 p.m., hosts Matt Maiocco and Laura Britt bring the popular “49ers Talk” podcast to TV, featuring in-depth 49ers and NFL discussion with NBC Sports Bay Area analysts and special guests from coast-to-coast.
Wednesdays: 49ers: Ask Papa – Radio play-by-play voice of the 49ers Greg Papa, along with new co-host, senior reporter for the 49ers Keiana Martin, will give their opinions on everything 49ers this season on 49ers: Ask Papa. New episodes of this lively, topic-focused, half-hour program air every Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m.
Thursdays: 49ers Talk Live presented by Big O Tires, 9:00 p.m.
Fridays: 49ers GamePlan – Greg Papa holds his exclusive, weekly one-on-one interview with 49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan every Friday night at 9:00 p.m. featuring recap discussions of the 49ers’ previous week’s game, along with a preview of the team’s upcoming opponent. Laura Britt hosts.
