Raiders right guard Gabe Jackson made some extra coin this season. The 2014 third-round pick led all NFL players with $91,475 in veteran performance-based pay for the 2016 season, the league announced on Thursday.
He also made a significant sum in regular performance based pay, typically reserved for younger, lower-round draft picks. Jackson made $273,174 from that pool, which was led by Atlanta cornerback Brian Poole and Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott.
Jackson made an extra $364,649 between both pools.

Those performance-based pools are a collectively bargained benefit that rewards players based on their playing time and base salary.
Jackson made $615,000 in base salary last year, as part of his rookie contract, and played 99.8 percent of Raiders offensive snaps. He’s scheduled for a big raise in 2017, earning $1.797 million next season. He’s a favorite among Raiders brass, and could be in line for a contract extension or a fruitful run in free agency.
