But do you know who the the 49ers selected with their first-ever draft pick back in 1950? Very few do, but NBC Sports Bay Area is here to fill in the blanks.
With the No. 11 overall pick in the 1950 NFL Draft, the 49ers selected defensive tackle Leo Nomellini from the University of Minnesota.
Nomellini isn't a household name among 49ers fans, but he spent his entire 14-year NFL career in San Francisco, earned 10 trips to the Pro Bowl, was named to six All-Pro teams, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1969.
