C.J. Beathard sustained a right wrist injury that would have prevented him from participating in practice Monday, the 49ers announced.
The quarterback was sacked four times Sunday, but he played every snap in the 49ers’ 18-15 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
The 49ers did not practice, but the NFL requires teams with Thursday games to file an injury report on Mondays. The 49ers play the Raiders on Thursday at Levi’s Stadium.

Offensive starters Beathard, Pierre Garçon, Joe Staley, Weston Richburg and Mike Person would have been unable to practice. The defensive players who would have been sidelined because of injuries are Reuben Foster, Richard Sherman and Jaquiski Tartt.
“Our players, we had them sleep in a little bit today because of the short week,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday. “We’re trying to get them extra rest.”
