
SAN JOSE -- Dru Brown threw for two touchdowns and ran for another - all in the second quarter - and Hawaii defeated San Jose State 34-17 on Saturday.
After Kenny Potter threw an 8-yard TD pass to Justin Holmes for a 10-3 Spartans lead, Brown connected with Dylan Collie on a 24-yard score to tie it. Brown scored on a 62-yard score and threw a 39-yard TD strike to Ammon Baker with 26 seconds left before halftime.

SJSU's Frank Ginda returned a fumble 19 yards to score in the third but early in the fourth, Steve Lakalaka ran for a 30-yard score to put Hawaii up 31-17.
Brown was 24 of 33 passing for 287 yards and carried it six times for 54 yards for Hawaii (3-2, 2-0 Mountain West).
Malik Roberson had 19 carries for 91 yards for San Jose St. (1-5, 0-2). Potter was intercepted three times.
It was Hawaii's first win in its last 10 games away from Aloha Stadium.
