A variety of media outlets in Sacramento are reporting that a lawyer who represents the Sacramento Kings owner has registered four team names with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
The names reportedly are:
- Anaheim Royals
- Los Angeles Royals
- Anaheim Royals of Southern California
- Los Angeles Royals

Additionally, a Web domain name of "losangelesroyals.com" was registered.
NBA Commissioner David Stern has confirmed that the Kings are exploring the possibility of a move to Anaheim.
The team has until April 18 to formally request a move to a new city for the 2011-12 season.
