
SAN JOSE -- Frank Rogers scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Princeton Onwas slammed home the final two points of the game to preserve a 64-61 win for San Jose State over Montana on Monday night.
After two Brandon Gfeller free throws for Montana (1-1) cut its deficit to 62-61, Onwas took a pass from Ryan Welage with 12 seconds left and finished at the rim to give the Spartans a three point lead. Montana had a final opportunity to tie it, but Walter Wright missed from downtown to end the game.

Onwas finished with 11 points and six boards for San Jose State (1-1), Welage had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Spartans led by eight (44-36) with 14 minutes to go, but a 12-5 Montana scoring stretch over the next six minutes cut the lead to one.
Wright led the Grizzlies with 13 points.
