You probably weren't expecting to read this today, but here we are.

On Wednesday morning, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James felt compelled to comment about Warriors superstar Steph Curry on Twitter:

In the 2008 NCAA Tournament, Curry scored 40 points against Gonzaga in the first round, and followed it up with 30 points vs. Georgetown in the second round.

So on March 28, 2008, LeBron -- whose Cleveland Cavaliers were playing at the Detroit Pistons the following night -- made sure he was at Ford Field in Detroit to watch Curry take on Wisconsin in the Sweet 16.

The future two-time NBA MVP put on a show, racking up 33 points, four assists and four steals as his Davidson Wildcats upset the Badgers.

LeBron almost certainly didn't think he eventually would have a major rivalry with Curry, where the two would face off in the NBA Finals four straight years (with LeBron only winning once), but such is life.
