Golden State will waive the veteran big man to clear a roster spot and sign prospect Briante Weber to a 10-day contract, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Weber is currently considered the No. 1 prospect in the D-League.
He was named the Player of the Month for January, averaging 21.5 points, 8.3 assists, 6.6 rebounds and 3.6 steals per contest for the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
The 24-year old appeared in six regular season games with Memphis last season, and scored in double figures twice.

He signed with the Heat shortly before the season ended and appeared in two of Miami's playoff games.
Weber played his college ball at Virginia Commonwealth and was on pace to become the NCAA Division I career leader in steals before suffering a torn ACL in January 2015.
Varejao appeared in 14 games with the Warriors this season. He played eight minutes off the bench on Thursday night against the Clippers.
