Steph, Klay, Draymond join elite company among NBA Big Threes

Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have accomplished a lot of impressive things in their decade-long legacy together.

Injuries and other setbacks kept the Warriors and their Big Three out of the playoffs for the past two seasons.

Now playing together for the first time since 2019, Golden State is in the NBA Finals for the sixth time in the past eight years -- an accomplishment only the Michael Jordan-Scottie Pippen Chicago Bulls did from 1991-98.

And speaking of elite company to be in, the trio joined rarified company among Big Threes.

Curry, Thompson and Green have now won 21 playoff series together, the second-most by any trio over the last 30 seasons, according to Elias Sports Bureau.

They passed the Los Angeles Lakers’ trio of Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal and Derek Fisher.

The San Antonio Spurs’ Big Three of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginóbili are at the top of that list with 27 playoff series wins.

A list full of NBA legends. Not bad company to be in.

There’s only one series left to play this season, so the Warriors’ triple threat won’t pass the Spurs’ trio, but there’s still time to do so in the coming years.
