OAKLAND -- Warriors coach Keith Smart talked a lot in the preseason about how thisyear's team was not going to shoot as many 3-pointers as they did lastseason.Actually, they're shooting more. Apparently, old habits die hard. The Warriors used the 3-ball big-time in their 115-109 win over theGrizzlies on Wednesday night - a relapse, if you will. But in a goodway. The Warriors went 13-for-30 from beyond the arc and have now attempted93 3-pointers through four games. That works out to an average of 23.3per game compared with the 20.5 3-pointers they averaged per game lastyear."If you look at how the 3s are being taken - they're not being taken bycoming down and pulling up shooting 3s," Smart said. "They're comingoff dribble-penetration. And with dribble-penetration, because thedefense is in, you've got to take those shots."Dorell Wright went 7-for-13 from 3-point range and Reggie Williams and Vladimir Radmanovic each made two."They're good 3s," Monta Ellis said. "They're not fastbreak 3s whereyou have four or five guys running a fastbreak and they're all runningto the 3-point line. We actually run a fastbreak first. If it's notthere, hit the open guy, move, draw, kick and then we get the 3. So,they're all great 3s."
