‘Kayak Klay' shouts out Golden Gate Bridge while on Bay

Klay Thompson is making the most of his downtime while the NBA playoffs take place without the Warriors.

On Thursday, the three-time NBA champion shooting guard spent a gorgeous September afternoon in a kayak on the San Francisco Bay.

And after nearly two weeks of smoke-filled air due to wildfires raging along the West Coast, Thompson spotted an old friend poking through the low fog.

There was "China Klay" and "Headband Klay," among others. Now we can add "Kayak Klay" to the list of monikers for Thompson.

Earlier in the week, Thompson posted a series of videos and photos promoting the Mercedes Benz G Wagon SUV. While it's an ad, it does show us another side of Thompson.

Thompson hasn't played in an NBA game since he tore his left ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors on June 13, 2019.

He has spent the last year rehabbing his surgically repaired knee, and recently posted photos and videos while working out with his best friend, Rocco.

With the 2020-21 NBA season not expected to start until sometime in December at the earliest, we can expect Thompson to post more videos of himself enjoying his time away from the court.
