After an incident with Warriors forward Draymond Green, a Michigan State alum, NCAA defender Jermaine Edmondson has been granted a full release from the Spartans.
An official statement from head football coach Mark Dantonio read:
“In discussions with Jermaine Edmondson following spring practice and in the weeks thereafter, it became clear that Jermaine wanted to play a larger role on the team. After consulting with him in the summer, he felt it was in his best interest to finish his playing career elsewhere. We have granted his immediate release to transfer to another institution to have that opportunity.”

According to the police report, Draymond had a BAC of .10, and had to remain in jail until he was completely sober.
On Tuesday, the All-Star forward addressed the situation publicly:
"My legal team is handling it. It'll be resolved really quickly. As a public figure, I just can't put myself in certain situations. So it's something that I learn from, and just move on."
