Peja Stojakovic, the former Kings sharpshooter, has announced he is going to retire from the NBA after a 13-year career.
When you start competing against your body more than youre preparing for the actual game, Stojakovic was quoted, its a wakeup call.
Stojakovic acknowledged his fans in a statement Monday night, saying: "I want to thank the great fans in Sacramento, Indiana, New Orleans, and Dallas who supported me throughout the years."

Stojakovic, 34, was a three-time All-Star with the Kings from 2001-'04. He led the NBA in three-pointers and free-throw percentage in 2003-04 with 240 and .927, respectively.
Stojakovic hit 40.1 of the 4,392 three-pointers he took in his career.
He was always a sharpshooter, but he became more of a set shooter later in his career. He was Chris Paul's designated kick-out man in New Orleans before joining Dallas and winning a championship ring last season. He contributed some big games in the Mavericks' sweep of the Lakers.
Despite a interest from a handful of contenders, Stojakovic insists "it's time."
