The Giants welcome the Los Angeles Dodgers to Oracle Park starting Tuesday night for perhaps their biggets series of the season.
After winning six straight games, the Giants right now are in the thick of the NL playoff race. But those wins came against the Los Angeles Angels and Arizona Diamondbacks. The first-place Dodgers are a whole different beast.
Johnny Cueto will toe the rubber for the series opener, and pitch to Joey Bart for the first time. Cueto, who is 2-0 with a 4.35 ERA last faced the Dodgers on Aug. 8. when he allowed four earned runs over 5 2/3 innings but came out with a win.
