That 2014 Giants team finished 88-74, and after beating the Pittsburgh Pirates in the Wild Card Game, went on to eventually take down the Kansas City Royals in a thrilling seven-game World Series.

In 1989, the Giants went 92-70 and advanced to the World Series before losing to the crosstown Athletics in the infamous series that was disrupted by an earthquake.
It's premature to make any World Series predictions about this Giants team just yet, but featuring the best record in the NL with nearly 40 percent of the schedule complete is promising to say the least.
