Manny Ramirez's domestic violence charges were dropped Friday when the victim -- his wife -- was uncooperative. The MLB veteran was arrested in Florida last September for allegedly slapping Juliana Ramirez.

"The state dropped the charge because the victim was uncooperative," the State Attorney's Office told TMZ. "She successfully avoided being served with a state subpoena and is believed to be out of state."

The details of the case aren't pretty, with each side claiming a different series of actions. Either way, the two seemed to resolve their differences, as Juliana joined Manny for his first on-field introduction with the A's in late February.
Ramirez, 39, still has to serve his 50-game suspension for a second positive drug test, and won't be available to make his debut for the A's until their May 30 contest in Minnesota.
