The Giants will only face nine opponents this season, getting the usual divisional slate and then 20 games against American League West teams in a year where one of the focuses is limiting travel. But you still can see plenty of old friends if you tune into games from other regions.
Twenty-five of the 30 teams released player pools Sunday -- most are going with Summer Camp as their preferred label for what's about to come -- and four more did Monday morning. Your Giants are the only team out there still holding onto their roster, as of 10 a.m. Monday. Nearly every team left significant space for further additions, but there already are plenty of former Giants in the mix.

NL EAST
Braves: Will Smith, Mark Melancon, Adam Duvall, Charlie Culberson and Yangervis Solarte
Melancon, Duvall and Culberson all were there last year when the Braves made the playoffs and Smith was their offseason splash. They also added Solarte -- who was DFA'd by the Giants last year and then played in Japan for a few months -- as a non-roster invitee.

Nationals: Fernando Abad
Marlins: Matt Joyce
Mets: Eduardo Nuñez, Jarrett Parker, Hunter Strickland, Johneshwy Fargas, Melky Cabrera and Gordon Beckham
Jarrett Parker sighting! He's looking to get back to regular big-league status three years after he last played for the Giants. Fargas is a speedster who spent most of the decade in the Giants' system but never got past Double-A; he could be interesting as a pinch-running specialist. Strickland was released by the Nationals in March but signed with the Mets on Monday.
Phillies: Francisco Liriano (is still pitching!), Zach Wheeler and Andrew McCutchen
NL CENTRAL
Pirates: Bryan Reynolds, Kyle Crick, Chris Stratton, Derek Holland and Andrew Susac
They've put together Giants East, and could have as many as four old friends on their initial 30-man roster. Susac, who last played double-digit big league games in 2015, will be in the alternate camp as catching depth.
Brewers: Ray Black
NL WEST
Padres: Pierce Johnson and Drew Pomeranz
Diamondbacks: Stephen Vogt, Mike Leake and Keury Mella.
I'm sorry, really, I am. But they do have one more former Giant in camp ...
AL EAST
Yankees: Matt Duffy, Erik Kratz, Jonathan Loaisiga and Dan Otero
Duffy was in camp with the Texas Rangers but now will try to grab a utility role with the best team in the American League. Otero, who made his debut with the Giants in 2012, spent the last four years in Cleveland.
Rays: D.J. Snelten and Lucius Fox
Late last year, Snelten was posting intriguing velo numbers on Twitter and looking for a job. Now there's a decent chance he's in the big leagues at some point this season. Pretty incredible. The Giants traded Fox to the Rays in the Moore-Duffy trade.
Blue Jays: Joe Panik, Ruben Tejada andTravis Bergen
Panik actually had his contract purchased right before the roster freeze went into place.
Orioles: Ty Blach
Red Sox: Kevin Pillar, Heath Hembree and Josh Osich
AL CENTRAL
Indians: Christian Arroyo
The former Giants first-rounder is on his third team, but he's still just 25 and perhaps will get a look from a team aiming for the future.
Tigers: Cameron Maybin
Twins: Sergio Romo, Cory Gearrin and Ehire Adrianza
AL WEST
A's: Yusmeiro Petit
Astros: Joe Biagini and Drew Ferguson
A Rule 5 pick in Giants camp last spring, Ferguson didn't make the club and was returned to the Astros. He had a .395 OBP and 11 homers in Triple-A.
Rangers: Tim Federowicz and Derek Law
Mariners: Tom Murphy (a Giant for like five minutes, but still!)
