Giants vs. Diamondbacks lineups: Dereck Rodriguez recalled to start in Phoenix

The Giants called up Dereck Rodriguez from Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday to make the start against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This will be his first start for the team since Aug. 1.

San Francisco is coming off a series split with the A's and begin a four-game series in Phoenix. D-Rod and the Giants will face Alex Young, who hopes to continue an impressive campaign -- if we forget about his last outing against the Los Angeles Dodgers when he gave up four runs over 3 1/3 frames.

Rodriguez is currently 1-1 with a 4.11 ERA in six career appearances against the D-Backs.
