The A's didn't take home the World Series trophy this season, but the Oakland faithful still were celebrating. Two of the team's fan-favorites, reliever Sean Doolittle and catcher Kurt Suzuki, were dripping in champagne.
After the Washington Nationals' 6-2 win over the Houston Astros in Game 7 on Wednesday night, Suzuki walked on to the MLB Network set and put his arm on Pedro Martinez's shoulder. He was sporting the celebratory goggles to keep the burn from the alcohol out of his eyes and a soaked 2019 Nationals World Series T-shirt.

Doolittle was commemorating the occasion as well by showing off his lightsaber skills.
He also took to social media to tweet out another perfect reaction to what had just happened:
The Nationals were not supposed to get this far. The team started the 2019 season with a 19-31 record and were the winners of the NL Wild Card Game. They took that and brought a championship to the nation's capital for the first time in 95 years.
It was a well-deserved celebration for the Nats as well as A's fans everywhere, who were happy to see the duo -- both former A's -- hoisting the trophy.
Both Doolittle and Suzuki were drafted by the A's and made an impact both on and off the field when they spent the majority of the 2012 season as teammates in Oakland. The two combined for 13 seasons with the A's organization, and if you take a look at some of the mentions, you can see the impact they left on the team.

Doolittle's wife Eireann Dolan, also an A's fan-favorite, celebrated accordingly as well:
