ARLINGTON, Texas — A long-term deal got finalized at Globe Life Park on Friday night, though no players or team executives were involved.
A couple got married right in front of the press box during the top of the third inning of the A’s-Rangers game. The ceremony included a couple of very entertained witnesses — NBC Sports California’s broadcast team of Glen Kuiper and Ray Fosse — who had the whole event unfold right before them.

Though the Rangers advertise the opportunity to get married on their web site, in-game ceremonies in Arlington are actually few and far between.
At any rate, it was all over and done with pretty quick (the ceremony, not the marriage). And in a twist on tradition, the groom wore white — a No. 29 Adrian Beltre jersey. The bride wore a blue Rangers jersey.
