A's prospect Kyler Murray says he would love to play in MLB and NFL

From Bo Knows, to Kyler Knows, just 30 years later.

The famous Bo Jackson commercial first dropped immediately after the 1989 MLB All-Star Game where he was named MVP after golfing a deep blast on the second pitch he saw in the bottom of the first inning. And now Kyler Murray could go from a first-round pick by the A's in 2018, to the same in the NFL in 2019.

At Heisman media day, Murray said he would "love to play football and baseball both professionally." The star quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners also said he didn't know if it would be possible to pull off.

Murray's comments come one day after his baseball agent Scott Boras made it clear that Murray will fulfill his commitment to the A's after he signed a $4.66 million signing bonus with Oakland. Boras fully expects Murray to be at spring training for the A's, but that doesn't mean he'll put an end to his football career.

As the 5-foot-10 quarterback has dominated his college competition on the gridiron, his stock in the NFL Draft has continued to rise. Mel Kiper Jr. sees Murray as a second-round pick while Todd McShay disagrees.

"I think Kyler Murray would be a first-round pick," McShay said. " I think the league is changing. I think it's more about quick twitch and guys that can move, and he does that about as well as anyone in the country. And I think he's gonna win the Heisman because of it."

Underclassmen have until January 14 to declare for the 2019 NFL Draft. Until Murray shuts it down, the A's have to be sweating when they think about their expensive gamble, especially with Murray's latest comments.
