Second-half substitute -- and United States men's national team star -- Christian Pulisic whipped a cross to Callum Hudson-Odoi, who laid the ball in Alonso's path for a left-footed strike.
Pulisic, 21, and Hudson-Odoi, 18, are two of the vanguards of Chelsea's youth revolution under manager Frank Lampard. Hudson-Odoi has now assisted in three consecutive games -- something no player has done since before he was born.
The future is now at Chelsea, and Saturday's late winner is just the latest indication.
