Cal quarterback Jared Goff, a candidate to be the No. 1 overall selection of the Los Angeles Rams, met with the 49ers in Santa Clara on Monday, sources told CSNBayArea.com.
The 49ers sent a large contingent of coaches, including Chip Kelly, and scouts to Goff’s pro day on March 18 at Cal.
The 49ers own the No. 7 overall pick. The Rams are expected to select a quarterback with the top overall pick after engineering a trade for the No. 1 pick last week with the Tennessee Titans.
