The 49ers special teams unit got good news Thursday when Ted Ginn decided to re-sign with San Francisco on a one-year contract.
We are glad that Ted has decided to return to the 49ers in 2012," 49ers General Manager Trent Baalke said in a statement. He is a versatile player and an excellent teammate that will continue to play an important role for us on both offense and special teams.
Ginn, 26, has played in 27 games over two seasons with the 49ers, returning 76 kickoffs and 62 punts.
