Report: Broncos believe Kaepernick worth fourth round pick

The Denver Broncos have reportedly told the 49ers they believe quarterback Colin Kaepernick is worth a fourth-round pick.

There has been no movement on trade talks, a source told CSNBayArea.com on Monday morning. “All is quiet,” the source said.

The Broncos do not have a fourth round pick available to be traded due to a trade that sent that selection to the Baltimore Ravens for guard Gino Gradkowski last year. The Broncos’ fourth-round pick is a compensatory selection and is not allowed to be traded.

The Broncos have not offered a specific fourth-round pick to the 49ers, Mike Silver of the NFL Network reported on Monday. The Broncos own the final pick in the third round, No. 94.

Denver also holds the final pick of the second round at No. 63 overall. The Cleveland Browns, who are also in play for Kaepernick in a trade with the 49ers, hold the No. 65 overall pick, early in the third round.

The Broncos remain in the hunt for a quarterback after the acquisition last week of quarterback Mark Sanchez from the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional 2017 seventh round draft pick.
