Warriors Gaming Squad clinch playoff spot after Tuesday's win vs. T-Wolves

Warriors Gaming Squad clinched their second-straight playoff appearance Tuesday after a 2-0 series sweep against T-Wolves Gaming.

WGS is one of just four teams to have already clinched a playoff spot with a week and a half still remaining on the regular-season schedule. After a hot 6-0 start to the season, the Warriors have kept stride and currently sit at 11-3.

Just like CB13 has done all season -- he leads the team in points (31.3) and assists (8.1) per game -- the Warriors point guard led the way in the playoff-clinching series against the T-Wolves.

CB13's consistent play and ability to score in bunches has put him in the conversation for the NBA 2K League's MVP award.

Warriors Gaming Squad didn't make it to this position because of just one player, which can often be the case, but CB13 is surrounded by talent who consistently steps up when called upon. Whether it's BSmoove providing the secondary scoring when the team needs it most, or Gradient working on both ends of the court, WGS has proven to be a complete team.

Slaughter, the 2020 first-round pick of the Warriors, has locked down the center position and is putting up outstanding numbers while doing so. He's currently averaging a double-double for the season, with 11.7 points and 14.4 rebounds per game.

Warriors Gaming Squad still has two matchups left in the regular season. They have the potential to climb the standings with the two teams currently ahead of them, holding the same amount of wins with just one fewer loss. Realistically, the highest seed WGS could earn would be the No. 2 spot. Raptors Uprising GC has been locked into first place from the jump, sitting at a perfect 13-0 record.

The remaining couple of matchups this season will be a good tune-up for the Warriors as they get ready to make a run at their first NBA 2K League Championship.
