Warriors' Wright out vs. Magic with knee contusion

Warriors swingman Dorell Wright will miss Thursday's game with the Magic, suffering from a left knee contusion, CSNBayArea.com has learned.

Head coach Mark Jackson has selected Brandon Rush to start in his stead.

Wright banged his knee against Dwyane Wade in Tuesday's overtime win over the Heat.

REWIND: Down 17, Warriors force OT and win wild one over Heat

The injury couldn't come at worse time for Wright, who was just settling into his shooting rhythm. Wright, who hit an NBA-best 194 three-pointers last season, has struggled finding his range this year. But Tuesday he poured in six of 11 threes for a season-high 20 points.

Jackson is looking at the day-to-day injury as an "opportunity for others to step up."
