Warriors 2020 second-round draft pick Justinian Jessup is taking the next step in his professional basketball journey.

After spending the last two seasons with the Illawarra Hawks of the Australian NBL, Jessup has signed a deal to play with Casademont Zaragoza, the team announced Wednesday.

Casademont Zaragoza plays in the Liga ACB, known to be Spain's top professional basketball division. Casademont is hoping Jessup can bring some life to the team as it finished 16th last season with a 12-22 record, just barely escaping relegation. This was Casademont's second-straight season losing 20 or more games.

In his two seasons in the NBL, the 24-year-old Jessup averaged 13.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 31 minutes per game. He also had shooting splits of 50/35/79 percent from the field, 3-point land, and free-throw line, respectively.

Despite spending two years in the NBL and one upcoming season in Spain, the Warriors still hold the draft rights to the 6-foot-7 guard they drafted 51st overall two years ago. He was a part of the Warriors' California Classic Summer League team, averaging 8.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.3 assists in 21.8 minutes in three games played.

Furthermore, Jessup played in two of the Warriors' five summer league games in Las Vegas.

Jessup remains an intriguing talent, and if his stint with Casademont Zaragoza goes well, expect Jessup to try to latch on again in the NBA in the years to come.
