Steph Curry further cemented his status as the greatest shooter in the history of basketball on Tuesday night when he knocked down his 300th 3-pointer of the season in the first quarter of the Warriors' road game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

In knocking down his first three of the game, Curry reached 300 3-pointers in a single season for the fourth time in his decorated career. He now owns four of the top five single-season 3-point marks in NBA history.
Tuesday's game was Curry's 58th of the season. He added three more 3-pointers before the conclusion of the opening quarter and one more in the second, so he reached 304 treys through 57.5 games. That's actually slightly ahead of his pace from his unanimous MVP season, in which he finished with an NBA record 402 3s.
When he won his first MVP award in 2014-15, Curry sank what was then an NBA-record 286 treys ... in 80 games. So he's blowing that pace out of the water.
After Tuesday's game against the Pelicans, the Warriors will have six games remaining on their regular-season schedule. If he continues to convert the same rate of 5.25 3s per game that he entered Tuesday with, Curry will finish the season with at least 335 3-pointers -- and that's if he doesn't make any more in the second half of Tuesday's matchup.

So, we're talking about possibly 340 3s in 64 games, assuming he plays the rest of the way.
