Kerr provides positive updates on injured Warriors before Game 1

Reinforcements could be on the way just in time for the NBA Finals

Warriors coach Steve Kerr spoke to reporters on Wednesday at Media Day ahead of Game 1, where he provided updates on injured guard Gary Payton II (elbow) and forwards Andre Iguodala (neck) and Otto Porter Jr. (foot).

"All three will be questionable," Kerr said. "All three took part in our brief scrimmage today and we'll see how they turn up tomorrow, but it was a good sign that all three were able to have contact."

Wednesday's scrimmage marks the second straight practice in which the three participated fully, an encouraging sign for their possible availability in Game 1 on Thursday at Chase Center.

The Boston Celtics are dealing with injuries of their own. Center Robert Williams and point guard Marcus Smart each are listed as questionable for Game 1.
