Giants announce 2022 spring training schedule

The wait is over. The Giants have announced their 2022 spring training schedule.

After a long, draining MLB lockout that lasted over three months, manager Gabe Kapler and the Giants will prepare for the upcoming season by playing 17 Cactus League games this spring.

San Francisco will open its exhibition schedule with a March 18 home game against the Chicago Cubs at Scottsdale Stadium. The team's Cactus League schedule will wrap up April 5 with a clash against the Bay Area rival Oakland Athletics.

The Giants will host nine contests and play eight on the road. They will face their National League West rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers, on April 2 at Camelback Ranch.

Last year, the Giants went 11-12 in Cactus League play before winning 107 games in the regular season and clinching the 2021 NL West title.
