ST. LOUIS – Sharks forward Tomas Hertl was injured in the second period of Thursday’s 3-2 loss in St. Louis, and coach Pete DeBoer didn’t offer any update after the game.
DeBoer said he “didn’t even see” what happened to Hertl, who left the ice just before David Perron’s power play goal at 15:56 of the middle frame. The 23-year-old was seen limping up the tunnel, suggesting the injury is of the lower body variety.
“I don’t have an update and won’t have anything until tomorrow,” DeBoer said.

Hertl has four goals and five assists for nine points in 16 games.
“He’s a big part of this team,” Logan Couture said. “Great player. Really come into his own these last couple years. Some nights he’s our best player on the ice. Big hole to fill if he is to miss some time. Hopefully it’s not too bad.”
