NHL moves Sharks vs. Wild game from April to next week

Sharks rookie John Leonard was thrilled to score his first NHL goal vs. the Ducks and talked about how special it was for his University of Massachusetts Amherst teammate Mario Ferraro to get the primary assist.

All of the sudden, the Sharks have a game next Monday.

The NHL on Tuesday announced the Sharks' game against the Minnesota Wild previously scheduled for April 23 will now be played Feb. 22 at SAP Center.

As the NHL deals with multiple COVID-related issues, the Wild have been hit as hard as any team. They haven't played a game since Feb. 2, when they lost to the Colorado Avalanche. 

The Sharks (6-7-1) currently sit sixth in the West standings. They're one spot ahead of the Wild, who are 6-5-0.
