Sharks defenseman Brent Burns will not playplay Tuesday night when San Jose faces the Calgary Flames.
Burns departed at with 5:37 remaining in the third period against the Oilers, following a dangerous-looking collision with Edmonton's Ales Hemsky.
Sharks coach Todd McLellan told the Calgary Herald that the "injury is not as severe as we originally thought."

"The good news, its not a knee," McLellan said. "Its more of a charleyhorse situation. Hell need some treatment, beginning today. And hopefully, when we get through the All-Star break, hes ready to play again.
The Sharks have seven healthy defensemen. A decision on Burns' replacement for the final game of the three-game Canadian road trip will be made at game time, McLellan said.
The All-Star break begins immediately following tonight's game. San Jose's first game after the break is Jan. 31 vs. Columbus.
Hemsky earned him a five-minute major and a game misconduct on the play that injured Burns.
