There's jumping for joy, and then there's what Richie James did in the closing seconds of the 49ers' 24-20 victory over the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
As San Francisco approached its first 3-0 start since 1998, James stood several feet behind quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in the 49ers' victory formation. After Garoppolo snapped the ball for the final time, James couldn't contain his excitement.

James wasn't the only one excited. Minutes later, he was joined by San Francisco defensive back D.J. Reed for a backflip competition in the end zone.
As things currently stand, the 49ers are one of six 3-0 teams in the league. They're one victory short of matching their win total from last season. You'd be doing backflips, too.
