The 49ers reportedly are scheduled to work out free-agent defensive end Ziggy Ansah for a second time this summer.
Ansah will be in the Bay Area on Sunday for COVID-19 testing with a workout planned for Tuesday, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday.
It is not known if the 49ers are looking at Ansah for the 53-man roster or the team's 16-player practice squad

The 49ers currently have nine defensive linemen on their active roster. Kerry Hyder is the only backup edge rusher for nickel downs behind Nick Bosa and Dee Ford.
Veteran Dion Jordan has a spot on the team's practice squad.

Ansah, 31, has a history with 49ers defensive line coach Kris Kocurek while both were with the Detroit Lions. In 91 career games, Ansah has registered 50.5 sacks since entering the league in 2013.

Ansah appeared in 11 games with Seattle last season. He recorded 2.5 sacks.
The 49ers open the regular season Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals at Levi's Stadium.
