49ers coach Kyle Shanahan gives his thoughts on his defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, widely considered a top head-coaching candidate, after the 49ers’ loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
The New York Jets reportedly plan to interview 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh for their vacant head-coaching position.
Saleh is scheduled to interview on Friday, Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported Wednesday.

Saleh already has interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons. He reportedly is meeting with the Detroit Lions virtually on Thursday. The Los Angeles Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars also have requested meetings with Saleh.

The Jets fired Adam Gase this week after two seasons. Gase had a contract that ran through the 2022 season. His teams were 9-23, including a franchise-record 13-game losing streak at the start of this season.
