Kings unanimously name teammate who loves victory beam the most

On the first episode of Court Vision, Kevin Huerter joins Matt Barnes to discuss his family, the trade from the Hawks to the Kings, and how he and his teammates are aiming to change the culture in Sacramento.

Every Kings player shares a fondness for the victory beam atop Golden 1 Center. But one player loves it more than the rest.

In a video posted by the NBA Twitter account Wednesday, Kings players were asked to name the teammate who is the victory beam's biggest stan.

All six players voted for Kings sharpshooter Kevin Huerter.

“He’s a big proponent of the beam,” Kings forward Harrison Barnes said of Huerter. “Can’t wait to light it. That’s all he talks about. Probably thinks about it when he goes to sleep.”

That checks out. Huerter, in his first season with Sacramento, created the "Beam Team" nickname in an Instagram caption back in November during the team's seven-game winning streak that set the tone for the 2022-23 NBA season.

He uses the nickname frequently on social media.

“You said everybody said me? That’s crazy,” Huerter said in the video with a smile.

Huerter and the Kings receive another chance to light the beam Thursday night when they host the New York Knicks at Golden 1 Center.
