Historic Kings-Clippers thriller sends Twitter into frenzy

Kings’ send their game vs. the new-look Clippers to overtime on Malik Monk’s 3-point shot late in regulation.

Friday night's double overtime thriller between the Kings and Los Angeles Clippers might have been the game of the year as both teams combined for a whopping 351 points.

Malik Monk (45), De'Aaron Fox (42) and Kawhi Leonard (44) all scored 40-plus points, and plenty of history was made. However, it was Sacramento that escaped with a 176-175 victory over Los Angeles at Crypto.com Arena. 

NBA Twitter was loving every minute of the action.

On the heels of the NBA All-Star Game in which Team Giannis defeated Team LeBron, 184-175, last weekend, fans were treated to another high-scoring contest. The difference being the Kings and Clippers actually cared about playing defense

Nevertheless, Friday night's game is one for the history books.
