Summer League coach Kris Weems joined Grant Liffmann and Kendra Andrews on Dubs Talk Live after the Warriors’ loss to the Magic on Monday night.
Kyle Guy is looking for a second chance.
The former second-round draft pick of the Kings is now with the Warriors during the NBA Summer League. And while he enjoyed his two years in Sacramento, he certainly didn't love how it ended.
"Obviously I enjoyed my time in Sac and I got some good experience, but they released me," Guy said to ABC10 Sacramento's Sean Cunningham. "They didn't see a future with me, which is fine, so I'm ready to move on and find somewhere that does want to invest in me, so that's why I'm here."

Guy of course hopes the Warriors want to invest time in him. His focus is on the court, though he clearly learned how much of a business the NBA is this offseason.
"Yeah. Absolutely, man," Guy said when asked if it's frustrating his time with the Kings ended on a sour note. "It's definitely a business but it still sucks and it's bittersweet. I got so close with that team and didn't even get a proper goodbye or anything like that. Didn't even get a phone call from anyone in the organization.
"That's how it is and that's fine. ... Again, I really enjoyed my time there. I'm gonna miss the atmosphere. That's one of the best arenas in all of sports, so I'm gonna miss it."
To be fair to the Kings, Guy's contract expiring this offseason couldn't have come at a worse time. The Kings' decision came during the mad scramble for free agency, the draft ending and prospects flying in. The Kings had a trade fall through, a trade completed, two draft picks and then free agency start in the span of four days.
That's not an easy time to make a tough decision.
Golden State Warriors
Guy averaged 2.7 points and 7.2 minutes per game in 34 games for the Kings over the last two seasons. In the 2019-20 G League season, Guy had a strong showing with the Stockton Kings, averaging 21.5 points and shooting 40 percent from 3. In the Warriors' 91-89 overtime loss to the Orlando Magic on Monday in the Las Vegas Summer League, Guy played 17 strong minutes off the bench.

The Virginia product was the Warriors' second-leading scorer with 15 points, which led all bench players. He made three 3-pointers and was a plus-6 in plus-minus.
Guy won't have an easy road to a NBA roster with Golden State, but he does added depth at point guard as a smart player who can be a sharpshooter from deep.
