Wiseman blown away by Steph in practice: ‘It's just like 2K'

Warriors rookie James Wiseman was blown away during his first NBA scrimmage with Steph Curry on Wednesday. The No. 2 pick compared Curry’s shots to his avatar in the video game series NBA 2K.

After James Wiseman finally took the court Monday, he was asked about his best moment from Warriors practice.

"Screening for Steph [Curry], and he made the 3 -- which was dope," the 19-year-old said.

Wiseman on Wednesday afternoon was asked if he has had a "wow moment" yet, or been blow away by anything so far. Again, he brought up the only unanimous MVP in NBA history.

"I mean, a lot of Steph plays -- when he comes off a screen and the shot be like 30 feet out -- he be making it all net," Wiseman explained. "That's crazy to me.

"It's just like 2K [the video game] basically. It's kinda crazy."

The No. 2 overall pick clearly knows how to win over Dub Nation, who forever will revere Curry.

The three-time NBA champion balled out Tuesday night in the Warriors' preseason loss to the Kings, racking up 29 points (11-for-21 FG, 5-for-13 3-point), four assists, four rebounds and three steals in 28 minutes.

Curry unfortunately will not take the court with Wiseman for Golden State's exhibition finale in Sacramento, as the 7-foot center has been ruled out.

Kerr on Wednesday stopped short of officially announcing Wiseman will be in uniform for the regular-season opener next Tuesday vs. the Brooklyn Nets, saying everything is "day to day" right now.
