Warriors adviser Jerry West was reportedly in attendance at a private workout conducted by Gilbert Arenas, as the former All-Star auditions for a return to the NBA.

Yahoo Sports published a story Sunday night that included a reference to West's presence.

Arenas, 30, was let go by the Orlando Magic in the preseason under the leagues amnesty provision. He has been slowed significantly by a chronic knee problem. He recently underwent platelet-rich plasma therapy on his right knee in New York

He could sign for the veterans minimum, which for a player of his experience would in excess of 1 million. Arenas has averaged 21.2 points, 5.4 assists and 4 rebounds over 10 seasons in the NBA.

Arenas played two seasons for the Warriors (2001-'02, 2002-'03).
