NBA rumors: Ex-Warriors forward Jordan Bell traded to rival Rockets

It appears former Warriors forward Jordan Bell soon will have a new basketball home.

The Minnesota Timberwolves reportedly are trading Bell to the Houston Rockets in the four-team, 12-player deal that came to fruition late Tuesday night, according to multiple national reports.

Golden State fans definitely remember this fact:

And they probably remember these two plays from that massive victory on the road:

During the 2017 NBA Draft, the Warriors paid the Chicago Bulls $3.5 million for the rights to the No. 38 overall pick and took Bell with that selection.

His career got off to a very promising start and it looked like the Oregon product would be with the franchise for a long time.

But things didn't work out, and Bell signed a one-year minimum contract with the T-Wolves in free agency last summer.

The 25-year-old only has appeared in 27 games this season, averaging 3.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 8.7 minutes per game.

It's unclear how much playing time he will receive in Houston, but there just might be an opportunity for him to carve out a solid role considering the Rockets are trading center Clint Capela to the Atlanta Hawks, and Bell is the type of small-ball big man coach Mike D'Antoni wants to deploy.

The Warriors host the Rockets on Feb. 20, and play in Houston on April 2.
