Ayesha Curry and her husband Steph have been visible at recent protests in the Bay Area following the death of 46-year-old George Floyd in police custody on May 25.

The wife of the Warriors star took to Instagram on Sunday to explain why she and Steph have been so direct about showing support for the cause against systemic racism and police brutality.

"The kids are watching, listening and learning. What will you have them retain? Let’s get it right for them so they don’t have to for their children," Curry wrote.

Steph also was seen kneeling during a protest last week organized by Warriors teammate Juan Toscano-Anderson.

The Currys understand how important their voice is, and are trying to use their platform to help promote change.
