The versatile defender leaped up and snagged this fly ball before crashing into the wall in right field at the Coliseum, coming down hard but holding onto the ball to get leadoff Houston Astros hitter Jose Altuve out.

Although Pinder remained in the game for the rest of the Astros' half of the inning, he eventually was pinch hit for by Stephen Piscotty in the bottom half of the first inning.

Following the A's 9-2 loss to Houston, manager Bob Melvin told reporters that Pinder has a left knee sprain and will be getting an MRI on Monday.
The 29-year-old got off to a solid start to the 2021 season for the A's, going 3-for-10 at the plate with a home run and two RBI.

With the A's still seeking the team's first win of the season, losing Pinder would be a blow to a roster already dealing with a handful of injury issues.
