Dodgers play Raiders' ‘Autumn Wind' during A's at-bat

Did they just …? Yep, I think they did.

As the A’s faced the Dodgers in Los Angeles on Tuesday, a familiar song came over the speakers at Dodger Stadium from organist Dieter Ruehle. Well, familiar if you’re a Bay Area sports junkie.

Those are the sounds of “The Autumn Wind,” as made famous by the Oakland Los Angeles Oakland Las Vegas Raiders.

Apparently, late Raiders owner Al Davis heard the song back in the day and told NFL Films president Ed Sabol he liked it so much that it should be the team's theme.

Longtime Dodgers organist Dieter Ruehle confirmed he indeed played it.

A line in the song reads "The autumn wind is a Raider,” and that might've had something to do with Davis' obsession.

Oakland and LA have plenty of history with the Raiders, so well-done by Ruehle and the Dodgers.
